Fair Use Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This Fair Use Policy sets out the usage limits that come with every Current subscription and what happens when a workspace goes over them. It forms part of the Terms of Service between you and Current MSP Inc., and Section 4 of the Terms (“Fair use limits and usage add-ons”) governs how it works. Where this policy and the Terms differ, the Terms control. The limits apply to every plan, including Founding Partner pricing.

1. When add-on charges begin

Add-on charges have not started. No workspace is charged for usage above a limit until we publish a billing start date on this page. That date will be at least 30 days after we email every workspace’s tenant admins and billing contact that it has been set, and before it arrives, Current will show each workspace its usage against the limits below. Until then, going over a limit is not charged and your features keep working.

2. AI credits

AI features in Current use AI credits. Every AI action uses credits, whether a person starts it (asking Ask Current a question, building a business review, dictating a note) or Current runs it automatically in the background (ticket signals, company and project insights, daily briefs). The number of credits an action uses depends on how much it reads and writes. Actions that use a fraction of a credit add up as fractions; nothing is rounded up per action.

A credit is a fixed unit of AI processing, measured the same way for every workspace. If we change how credits are counted in a way that makes the same action use more credits, we treat that as lowering a chargeable limit, and the 30 days’ notice in Section 4 of the Terms applies.

3. AI add-ons

When your workspace has used its included credits for the month, more credits are sold as add-ons:

4. Daily safety limits

These limits stop one person from using a large share of the workspace’s credits in a single day. Reaching a daily limit never causes a charge. When one is reached, the feature pauses for that person until 00:00 UTC.

5. Email, storage, and API use

Outbound email (campaigns, sequences and notifications), file storage, and API and sync volume are included with every subscription at reasonable use for an MSP running its own business on Current. There is no chargeable limit on them today. If we set one, we will publish the limit and its add-on price here and email every workspace’s tenant admins at least 30 days before it takes effect.

6. Use that is not fair use

The following is outside fair use under any plan, and we may slow down, queue, or pause the features involved, without notice, as Section 4 of the Terms allows:

7. Questions and disputes

Your workspace’s usage is shown in Current. If an add-on charge looks wrong, tell us through the Help Center within 30 days of the receipt for that charge. We will review our records with you and share the usage data behind the charge, and if the charge was wrong, we refund or credit the difference.

8. Changes to this policy

We will email every workspace’s tenant admins and billing contact at least 30 days before we add a chargeable limit, lower a chargeable limit, raise an add-on price, or change how credits are counted in a way that makes the same action use more. If you do not accept one of those changes, you may cancel before it takes effect. That cancellation takes effect immediately, and we refund the unused part of any subscription fees you prepaid and any unused credits you purchased. A change applies only to usage after it takes effect. Changes that raise a limit or lower a price may take effect immediately. Other changes to this policy follow Section 19 of the Terms. The date at the top of this page shows when the policy last changed.
