What can you ask Ask Current?
Ask it the way you would ask your operations manager. Four kinds of question come up every week. Press one and the box above plays its sample answer.
Money
Money answers only for tenant admins and finance. Opportunity amounts also reach sales leaders and the opportunity’s owner.

The answer is already in your tools. Getting it takes an afternoon.
Margin sits in the PSA. Backup state sits in one console and security alerts in another. The renewal date is on an agreement, and the network diagram is in IT Glue. So a plain question waits until somebody exports four reports and lines them up in a spreadsheet.
Ask Current reads those same records where they already live, in the workspace you connected, and answers in one box. Each sentence shows the record it came from, so you can open it and check.
- Your PSATickets, agreements, time and margin
- Backup consoleWhich machine missed its last backup
- Security consoleThe alert opened yesterday
- IT GlueThe network diagram you need on the call
- Your calendarWho you are meeting at 2pm
Can you trust what Ask Current tells you?
Owners ask two things about AI: will the answer be wrong, and will data reach the wrong person. This is how Ask Current handles both.
It reads as you
Ask Current answers from the records your role can open, and nothing else. Two people can ask the same question and get different answers. It can never see more than you can, and every answer says whose access it used.
Answered with Dana Ruiz’s access (Tenant admin).
A source on every figure
Each sentence and figure carries a source tag that opens the record behind it. A sentence no record supports is left out, and Current builds every link from the record it read, never from the AI’s words.
A question only reads
It changes nothing on its own. An action shows as a card first, and it runs only when you press it, as you.
Money stays with money roles
Margin, cost to serve and MRR answer only for tenant admins and finance. Opportunity amounts also reach sales leaders and the opportunity’s owner.
Answered with Dana Ruiz’s access (Finance). Money answers only for the roles that can see money.
Names, never passwords
From IT Glue and Passportal it reads document and password names, for technical roles only. It never shows a password.
Your conversations stay yours
Chat history is private to you and kept for 180 days. Powered by Anthropic Claude. Encrypted and never used to train AI models.
Each person can ask 50 questions a day. Ask Current answers from your workspace and the Help Center, and it turns down general knowledge, code and advice.
Say what you want done. Press once to do it.
Type the next step in a sentence and Ask Current turns it into a card with the details filled in. You can change the card first. When you press its button, the step runs as you, with your permissions.
Nothing changes until you say so.

The questions MSPs ask first.
What is Ask Current?+−
Ask Current is the search box at the top of every page in Current, the CRM and project platform for managed services providers. Type a name and it opens the record. Ask a question and it answers from the records in your workspace that your role can open, with a source tag on every sentence and figure.
What can I ask Ask Current?+−
Questions about your own MSP: which customers lost money last month, how MRR moved, which customers are at risk, what is going on at a customer before a call, which customers have failing backups or open security alerts, what renews in the next 60 days, how many hours the team logged and who is out next week. It also answers how-to questions from the Current Help Center. It turns down general knowledge, code and advice.
Can Ask Current see data I can't?+−
No. It reads as you, through the same access rules as every other page in Current, so it can never see more than you can. Two people can ask the same question and get different answers, and every answer says whose access it used. Margin, cost to serve and MRR answer only for tenant admins and finance.
How do I check an answer?+−
Every sentence and figure carries a source tag that opens the record it came from, and a sentence no record supports is left out. Current builds every link from the record it read, never from the AI's words. Open the source before you act on a figure that matters.
Does Ask Current change anything in my PSA?+−
Not from a question: a question only reads. When you ask for a next step, such as saving a note, logging a call or making a to-do, it shows a card first and runs the step as you only when you press it. A saved note can be undone for 10 seconds, and then it reaches your PSA.
Which PSAs does Ask Current work with?+−
Autotask, ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA and Syncro. You keep your PSA: Ask Current reads what Current syncs from it, plus Microsoft 365 and 50+ integrations across RMM, security, backup, documentation and CRM.
Is my data used to train AI models?+−
No. Ask Current is powered by Anthropic Claude, conversations are encrypted, and your data is never used to train AI models. Your chat history is private to you and kept for 180 days.
Does Ask Current cost extra?+−
No. It is included in every Current seat, with no per-seat AI tax. The founding rate is $50 per user a month, or $45 billed annually, locked for life for the first 100 MSPs. Each person can ask 50 questions a day.
