MSP CRM software, compared
General-purpose CRMs adapted for MSPs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho) versus the MSP-specific ones (GlassHive, ConnectWise, Current) — compared on pipeline, PSA sync, quoting, automation and price.
There's an honest split here: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho are powerful general-purpose CRMs adapted for MSP use; GlassHive, ConnectWise and Current are built for MSPs specifically.

| Ease of use | Purpose-built MSP-purpose-built and low-config; one platform for sales + delivery removes tool-switching between CRM and PSA. | Yes — top-cited Ease of use is the single most-cited praise theme; 88% of G2 reviewers recommend it. Complexity grows as teams hit tier limits. | Yes Consistently rated easy to adopt with minimal training; Capterra ease 4.6/5, customer service 4.8/5. | No — hard Powerful but hard: excessive clicks, heavy configuration, steep learning curve; Capterra ease-of-use 3.7/5. | Partial Recurring weakness: steep learning curve, complex setup, and reliance on a dedicated admin/consultant — not turnkey for small teams. | Yes — best-in-class Top-rated for usability (G2 ease ~8.9/10); low learning curve is its signature advantage over heavier CRMs. | Partial Basics are intuitive, but reviewers cite a substantial learning curve and configuration complexity at depth. |

No free version. | Quote-based No public price (sales call required). Third-party 2026 estimates: CPQ ~$50-85 and PSA ~$35-65/user/mo, plus implementation/training fees. | Published, high TCO Published $25/$100/$175/$350/$550 per user/mo, but Sales Engagement, Pardot (from $1,250/mo), CPQ, Scheduler and analytics are extra — TCO is the top complaint. | Published + add-ons Published $14-$79/user/mo (annual); no free plan, 14-day trial. Prospecting, marketing and web-visitor ID are extra-cost add-ons that stack the true cost. | Published, low-cost Fully transparent $14/$23/$40/$52 per user/mo (annual) plus a free 3-user tier; very low price for the feature depth. |
| Best-fit user | MSPs on Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA MSPs wanting CRM and project delivery unified in one modern, multi-tenant platform with first-party sync to Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA. | SMB/mid sales+marketing Best for SMB/mid-market sales+marketing teams wanting all-in-one ease and transparent pricing; not MSP-native (needs a paid PSA connector). | Small MSPs, marketing-led Best for small MSPs/VARs wanting combined sales + channel marketing with ready-made content and PSA sync; not a project/ops platform. | Established ConnectWise MSPs Best for mid/enterprise MSPs already on ConnectWise PSA who want CRM + quoting inside the PSA and have staff to configure it. | Enterprise sales orgs Best for mid-market/enterprise sales with budget and admin/dev resources; weak turnkey fit for small MSPs wanting native PSA quoting/sync. | SMB sales teams Best for SMB/mid-market B2B sales teams wanting an easy, affordable visual pipeline; serves only the sales layer for MSPs. | SMB, Zoho-ecosystem Best for SMB/mid-market (especially existing Zoho users) wanting low cost and deep customization; not a standalone MSP ops tool. |
Where each tool genuinely wins
We build Current, so weigh us accordingly — but a comparison you can't trust is worthless. Here's where each alternative is honestly stronger, and the context that matters for an MSP.
Far larger ecosystem and market maturity — ~1,500+ marketplace integrations, one of the biggest verified CRM review bases, a genuinely useful permanent free tier, and best-in-class marketing-to-sales handoff with full lead attribution when both Sales and Marketing Hubs are licensed.
Where Current fits: None of it is MSP-native. An MSP still buys and maintains a paid third-party Autotask connector, adds a separate Marketing Hub, and gets no PSA-catalog quoting or whitespace analysis — so the 'all-in-one' value only materializes at meaningfully higher total spend plus integration overhead. Current delivers first-party PSA sync (Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA), MSP quoting and delivery in the base license.
Deeper, MSP-specific channel marketing — a ready-made content library, email campaigns, nurture Journeys, landing pages/SMS, and live Ingram Micro / TD SYNNEX distributor pricing pulled into quotes — the strongest pure marketing engine in this comparison, and a genuine MSP-channel focus.
Where Current fits: It is sales + marketing only: no project delivery, dependency scheduling, time-to-billing, or native mobile app, and per its own docs the Autotask sync is manual and insert-only (it won't update existing records). A delivery-driven MSP still needs a separate ops platform — which is exactly what Current unifies with the CRM.
For a shop already standardized on ConnectWise PSA, CRM plus mature CPQ quoting (real-time distributor pricing, eSignature, recurring-revenue and multi-option quotes) lives inside the same system as ticketing, time, projects and billing — deep native ecosystem, enterprise scale, and highly configurable.
Where Current fits: That advantage is captive to the ConnectWise stack: its CRM doesn't sync to Autotask, the UI is dated with a steep learning curve (Capterra ease 3.7/5), quoting is a separately-licensed product, and pricing is quote-only with implementation fees. An MSP not standardized on ConnectWise PSA gets none of it — Current syncs first-party with Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA and is transparently priced.
The largest CRM ecosystem, deepest customization, most mature AI (Einstein + Agentforce), and best-in-class reporting at enterprise scale — battle-tested with tens of thousands of reviews at ~4.4/5.
Where Current fits: It's built for enterprise sales, not MSPs: no native PSA sync or MSP quoting, steep total cost once add-ons stack (Sales Engagement, Pardot from $1,250/mo, CPQ, analytics), and it needs a dedicated admin or consultant to run. For most MSPs it's off-domain and overkill, where Current is purpose-built and low-config.
Best-in-class visual-pipeline UX and ease of use (G2 ease ~8.9/10), a mature open ecosystem (400+ apps), a strong offline mobile app, and a low $14/user entry price.
Where Current fits: It's a general single-org sales CRM: no native PSA sync, no MSP CPQ or whitespace, no project delivery, and core go-to-market features (prospecting, marketing, web-visitor ID) are extra-cost add-ons that stack the true price. It covers the sales layer only; Current covers sales through delivery in one platform.
Enormous ecosystem and value — a large app suite, extensive third-party integrations, native CPQ/quoting/inventory, and bundled Zia AI at Enterprise, all at a very low per-seat price with a free 3-user tier.
Where Current fits: It's a horizontal CRM: no first-party Autotask/ConnectWise connector, no MSP whitespace or PSA time-to-billing flow, deep marketing and rich booking are separate Zoho products, and reviewers cite a real learning curve and slow loading once customized. Current trades that breadth for MSP-native depth in one price.
Why MSPs choose Current
- Unified CRM + project delivery in one multi-tenant platform: deals, quoting and won work flow straight into dependency-aware, critical-path scheduling and time-entry-to-PSA billing (Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA) — no re-entry and no third-party bridge between sales and delivery.
- First-party 2-way sync with Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA — including account-manager reassignment arbitration, CRM email-domain gating and NeverBounce verification — instead of a paid, brittle third-party connector that every rival in this set relies on.
- MSP-native sales intelligence: whitespace / topic signals, relationship-health, sequences, sales coaching, and Anthropic-powered AI insights tuned to managed services rather than generic B2B sales.
- ScalePad Quoter 'Win Quote Engine' bridge (won-quote to deal) and a booking to CRM to PSA flow (Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA), so quoting and lead capture are wired to the PSA out of the box.
- Modern 2026 rebuild on React 19 + Supabase with DB-level multi-tenant RLS and partner-portal financial isolation enforced at the database, not just hidden in the UI.
- One platform, one price: $50/user/mo (or $540/user/yr) covers both CRM and project delivery — no Core-vs-Sales seat splits, credit meters, separate marketing-hub upsells, or mandatory onboarding fees.
The honest verdict
Be honest about the tradeoffs: if you want the biggest ecosystem, the deepest customization, and the largest review base, Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho all beat Current on raw breadth and brand maturity — they're bigger, older, and connect to more third-party tools. Pipedrive out-polishes almost everyone on pure sales-pipeline usability, and GlassHive has a stronger dedicated MSP marketing engine. If your shop lives entirely inside ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise's own CRM plus CPQ is a reasonable in-stack choice. What none of them are is an MSP operations platform: every one of these tools stops at the CRM boundary and hands off to a paid, customer-maintained connector (often one-way, and in GlassHive's case insert-only for Autotask) to reach the PSA, with no MSP-catalog quoting, no whitespace analysis, and no path from a won deal into scheduled, billable delivery. Current's case is narrower and more honest: it's a modern, 2026-rebuilt platform that puts the CRM in the same multi-tenant system as project delivery, with first-party two-way sync to Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA, MSP-tuned sales intelligence, and one transparent per-seat price covering both sides — no seat-type splits, credit meters, or onboarding fees. For an MSP on Autotask, ConnectWise, or Halo PSA that wants sales and delivery to be one system instead of two tools bridged by middleware, that unification and PSA-native depth is the reason to choose it — and for a large enterprise sales org that needs maximum customization and ecosystem, one of the incumbents is still the better fit.
