Staying current: the What's New feed

Current ships continuously, and every user-visible change is logged in one place. No guessing whether a feature is actually live yet.

• The sparkle icon in the top bar opens a quick popover with the most recent entries, grouped by date.
• A small dot lights up on the sparkle icon when there are entries you haven't seen yet, and clears the moment you open the popover.
• "View all" from the popover (or the What's New page directly) shows the complete history, newest first, with a filter for Features or Improvements.
• Many entries carry a Read more link that opens the Help Center article explaining the change.
• A big launch is labelled Major release in pink and sits at the top of its day.
• When an entry answers a request from the feature board, it shows how many teams asked for it.

Each entry is a short headline and a plain-language line: what changed and why it helps you, not an engineering changelog. Entries are tagged as a feature or an improvement so you can filter to just what you care about. Small bug fixes are not listed; a fix earns an entry only when it changes how you use something.

You no longer have to remember to refresh. The moment a new version ships, a banner appears at the top of the app (and at the top of the client portal) telling you a new version is available, with a Refresh button. Click Refresh and you come right back to the exact page you were on, now running the newest version; for staff, this What's New feed then opens once on its own so you can see what changed. The banner can't be dismissed on purpose: running an old version against the updated service can cause confusing behavior, so Refresh is the intended (and only) way past it. It usually appears within a few minutes of an update going live, and sooner if you switch back to a tab you'd left open.

Once a week, on Tuesday, Current emails a short round-up of what shipped: the main features with a screenshot each and a link to the article that explains them, plus a few smaller improvements. A Major release always leads. If nothing shipped that week, no email goes out. Every copy carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

Current doesn't run on a fixed release-train schedule. Updates ship as they're ready, sometimes several in a single day. The What's New feed is the reliable way to know what's actually live right now, rather than assuming a feature exists because you heard about it.
