Welcome to Current: how your workspace fits together

2 min read · Updated Jul 20, 2026

Current is an AI-native CRM and project management platform built for MSPs. It runs the whole motion in one workspace: sales pipeline, campaigns and sequences, quote-to-project handoff, dependency-aware scheduling, time entry, and billing sync back to your PSA.

One workspace per MSP

Your company gets one workspace (a tenant). Everything in it — projects, companies, deals, time, integrations — belongs to your workspace and is isolated from every other Current customer at the database layer. Nobody outside your workspace can reach your data, and your team can't reach anyone else's.

TermWhat it means
WorkspaceYour MSP's isolated environment. One per company.
Tenant AdminThe person who runs the workspace: members, roles, integrations, sync config.
MembersYour staff — PMs, engineers, sellers — each with a role that scopes what they see.
PartnersYour clients. They get a free, read-only portal scoped to shared projects only.
ConnectorsIntegrations like your PSA (ConnectWise, Autotask, or HaloPSA) and Microsoft 365, configured once per workspace.

The roles at a glance

Current ships six workspace roles — Tenant Admin, Project Manager, Engineer, Sales Manager, Account Executive, and Read-only (Partner) — plus a Super Admin tier reserved for the Current team. Every restriction is enforced in the database, not just hidden in the interface.

Where to go first

  1. 1
    Take the quick tour
The first time you sign in, a short guided tour highlights the handful of places that matter — and it's matched to your role: engineers get My Day → project → time entry, salespeople get the pipeline and companies, project managers and admins get the full project cockpit, and partners get a brief portal welcome. Skip it any time; it never nags.
  2. 2
    Run the onboarding checklist
Connect your PSA (ConnectWise, Autotask, or HaloPSA) and Microsoft 365, invite your team, and review sync settings. Most workspaces finish in an afternoon. The Getting Started card in the corner ticks each step off as you go — open a project, log your first time entry, and it updates live.
  3. 3
    Pick your project mode
Client projects usually sync two-way with your PSA; internal projects can run Current-native with no PSA at all.
  4. 4
    Say hello to the AI
Overnight, Current drafts a Radar briefing for each PM and a morning brief for each seller — no setup needed once your data is connected.
