Profile photos: from Microsoft 365, or your own
Current shows your photo in the top bar instead of your initials. It comes from Microsoft 365, or from a photo you upload.
Current shows your photo in the round button at the top right of every page. Where a person has no photo, Current shows their initials, as before.
Where a photo comes from
| Order | Source |
|---|---|
| 1 | A photo you uploaded in Current. It always wins. |
| 2 | Your photo in Microsoft 365, the one Outlook and Teams show. |
| 3 | Your initials, when there is neither. |
Once you connect your own Microsoft 365 account in Settings, Your settings, Microsoft 365, Current copies your photo from it about once a day and skips it when it has not changed. Where your workspace also reads its Microsoft directory, Current copies the photos of everyone in it, people who do not sign in to Current included, up to 200 people per read. Both use permissions your organization already approved; nobody has to approve anything new. If Microsoft has no photo for you, Current shows your initials.
