Link a quote to an opportunity

5 min read · Updated Oct 22, 2026

You don't link a quote by hand in Current. A quote attaches to an opportunity through the PSA opportunity it was built on: build the quote in your quoting tool (or your PSA) against that opportunity, and on the next quote sync Current shows it under the opportunity. Current doesn't create quotes itself, so "adding a sales quote" means making it in the tool you quote in. The rest of this page says how each tool makes that link, and what to check when a quote turns up on its own.

Where you see a quote once it is linked

  • +On the company record, in the right rail's Quotes & opportunities section: every open opportunity, with its quotes indented beneath it, each with its state, expiry and a link into the tool that owns it.
  • +On the opportunity itself: open it (click its card on the board or its row in the list) and the Quotes view lists its quotes and their documents, newest first, with a preview of page one.
  • +Anyone with CRM access who can open the company sees them. Partner Viewers never see quotes.

How each quote source attaches

Where the quote is madeWhat it attaches to
ScalePad Quoter (Autotask workspaces)Quoter's own Autotask integration creates the Autotask opportunity and quote. The quote attaches to the Current opportunity linked to that Autotask opportunity, and if Quoter created the opportunity, Current brings it in too.
Kaseya Quote Manager (Autotask workspaces only)The Autotask opportunity Kaseya Quote Manager's own Autotask integration created or linked. A quote that arrived before its opportunity was in Current is linked later by itself, once exactly one opportunity carries that Autotask opportunity.
ConnectWise CPQThe ConnectWise opportunity the quote was built on. Open CPQ quotes only come into Current when the CPQ (Sell) API keys are saved on the ConnectWise CPQ card in Settings › Integrations; without them only won quotes are found.
HaloPSA quotesThe Halo opportunity the quote was raised on. Raise the quote from the opportunity in Halo and it attaches to the matching opportunity in Current.
Syncro estimatesEstimates show on the company record. When an estimate is won, the won-quote wizard matches it to an existing opportunity where there is one.
Autotask quotes made in AutotaskThe Autotask opportunity they were made on. Current reads the quotes of open opportunities.
Rev.io quotesShown on the company record, read-only, without a total.
Note
Current only links when it is sure
A quote is linked to an opportunity only when exactly one opportunity in Current carries the quote's PSA opportunity, and that opportunity is on the same company as the quote. Two candidates, or a different company, leave the quote on its own rather than putting it on the wrong account.

When a quote shows up on its own

On the company record a quote with no open opportunity behind it is listed below the opportunities, on its own, and adds its own amount to the quoted totals. That is right for a draft that hasn't been pushed to your PSA yet. If it should sit under an opportunity, check these in order:

  1. 1
Is the quote on the right opportunity in the tool?
In ScalePad Quoter or Kaseya Quote Manager, open the quote and check its Autotask link. In HaloPSA, check the quote was raised from the opportunity. In ConnectWise CPQ, check the quote was built on the ConnectWise opportunity. Fix it there; Current picks up the change on its next quote sync, a few minutes later.
  2. 2
    Is that opportunity in Current?
Find it on the Opportunities page. An opportunity your PSA has but Current hasn't synced yet can't carry a quote yet; it attaches once the opportunity arrives.
  3. 3
Is it on the same company?
If the quote is on one company and the opportunity on another (often a duplicate company), Current won't link them. Merge the duplicate or move the quote in your tool.
  4. 4
    Is the opportunity still open?
The rail nests quotes under open opportunities only, so a quote whose opportunity is already won or lost is listed on its own. Reopen the opportunity if the work is still live.
Tip
Let quotes start their own opportunity
Sales leadership can mark one pipeline "New quotes start opportunities in this pipeline" (Opportunities, Edit columns, Quote automation). When ScalePad Quoter reports a new quote for a company with no open opportunity, Current opens the opportunity there instead of leaving the quote on its own. See "Checkpoints: stage questions, movement rules, and Current Sales OS".

Won quotes

A won quote from ScalePad Quoter, ConnectWise CPQ, Kaseya Quote Manager or HaloPSA closes its opportunity as won and lands in the won-quotes queue, where a project manager turns it into a project or a ticket with the Win Quote wizard. A won Syncro estimate is converted the same way from Sales, Won quotes. Each tool's own article covers the queue and the wizard.

Where Current syncs opportunity info in HaloPSA

Current syncs an opportunity's details to the opportunity in HaloPSA. In Halo an opportunity is a ticket flagged as a sales opportunity, on the company's Halo client, so that ticket is where the details go, and only when CRM write mode allows it:

  • +Creating an opportunity in Current creates that opportunity ticket in Halo with the opportunity's name, its stage (through your stage mapping), its target close date, its one-off and monthly value, its win probability, and its owner when the owner is linked to a Halo agent.
  • +Later changes in Current send the new stage, close date, values and win probability to the same ticket. Marking it won or lost sets the won or lost status in Halo, with the reason.
  • +A Halo opportunity carries no contact from Current, and on an opportunity linked to a won quote the close is left to the won-quote steps.
  • +A stage that isn't mapped to a Halo pipeline stage isn't sent. Map your columns in Opportunities, Edit columns.
