Share your referral link or invite an MSP

4 min read · Updated Oct 22, 2026

Your referral link and the invite form are on the Refer a peer page. Click your avatar in the top bar and choose Refer a peer, the first item in the menu, or open Go to and type "refer". Copy the link under Share your link and send it however you like, or type the other MSP's work email under "or send an email" and press Send invite.

Who can refer

Every staff role in your workspace can open Refer a peer, copy the link and send invites: tenant admins, service managers, project managers, dispatchers, engineers, vCIOs, finance, account executives and sales managers. Partner Viewers never see it. During a support session the link is hidden and invites can't be sent or canceled.

Your workspace has one referral link, made from your workspace's name plus a few random characters, for example current.day/r/your-msp-ab12. Everyone on your team shares the same link, and every MSP that signs up through it counts for your workspace. Press Copy to put it on your clipboard. If copying is blocked, select the link and copy it by hand.

When someone opens the link, Current records the visit and takes them to the page where they create a workspace. That page tells them who invited them and that they get a 30-day trial.

Send an invite by email

  1. 1
    Type their work email
Use the address they will sign up with. An address on your own company's email domain is refused, because referring your own team does not count.
  2. 2
    Add a note (optional)
A short line from you, up to 600 characters. It goes into the invite email.
  3. 3
Choose whether to name your workspace
Leave "Say it's from" ticked to put your workspace's name on the invite. Untick it and the email reads "A fellow MSP invited you to try Current", with a private link that does not show your name. The signup still counts for you either way.
  4. 4
    Press Send invite
The invite appears in Your referrals as Invited with the date it went out. If the email didn't go out, the row says Email not sent yet and you can press Resend.

Invites by email can be sent while your workspace pays Current by card or is in its card trial. A workspace billed another way can still share its link.

Resend or cancel an invite

Each open invite in Your referrals has Resend and Cancel invite. Anyone on your staff can resend. Only the person who sent the invite or a tenant admin can cancel it. Once the MSP signs up, the invite moves to their row and can't be sent again.

Invite limits

  • +One email a day to the same address from your workspace. Inviting an address again, or a canceled invite sent again, counts as a resend of the first one.
  • +Up to 10 invites per person in an hour, and 25 per workspace in a day.
  • +Up to 3 invites to one address in 30 days, counted across every workspace in Current, so nobody is flooded with invites.
  • +An address that bounced, complained or unsubscribed from Current's emails can't be sent an invite.
Tip
Use their own address
An invite helps even if they never click it: when they sign up with the same email address the invite went to, the signup is credited to you. See "What a referred MSP gets and how it counts".
