1Stream and recording consent: what Current reads
Current reads 1Stream's call transcripts only in a workspace whose greeting tells callers that calls may be recorded and transcribed. Without that, Current keeps call details only: no note, no coaching and no alerts.

What it does for you
Some places require everyone on a call to know it is recorded. Current asks a tenant admin to confirm that your phone greeting says so before it reads any transcript, and lets you read calls from chosen partners as details only.
- With the box ticked, Current reads 1Stream's transcript once to write the note, next steps, alerts and coaching, then lets the transcript go.
- Without it, Current keeps the call's details only: time, length, queue, who answered and the company. No note, no coaching, no alerts.
- Partners you mark as details only (for example healthcare) get the same treatment whatever the greeting says.
- Calls under 30 seconds and calls between two of your own extensions are never read.
Note
Before anything is read
Passwords and codes said aloud, card and bank numbers, and dates of birth are removed from a transcript before Current reads it, and phone numbers are cut to their last four digits. If that cleaning fails, nothing is read and the call says Current did not write a note. Recordings are never stored, and Listen plays them from 1Stream for the people allowed to hear them.
Heads up
This is not legal advice
Recording laws differ by state and country. Check what your greeting must say with your own counsel, especially before reading calls from Europe.
