Turn parts of Current on or off
Turn whole modules on or off for your workspace in Settings › Modules, so your team sees only the parts of Current it uses.
On this page · 7 sections
Current is built from modules: Projects, Sales & CRM, Dashboards, Reports and more. If your team doesn't use one, a tenant admin can turn it off for the whole workspace. It disappears for everyone, its background work stops, and nothing you saved in it is deleted. Turn it back on any time and it picks up where it stopped.
Where to find it
Open Settings and go to General › Modules. Each module has its own card with an On or Off switch and a line on what it covers. Everyone else on your team can open Modules under Your settings to see what is on, but only a tenant admin can change it.
The modules
- Projects & time: project boards, timelines, tasks and their sync with your PSA.
- Service desk: tickets from email, chat and monitoring, worked and answered in Current.
- Sales & CRM: opportunities, pipelines, leads and quotes. It has four switches of its own: Campaigns, Commissions, Business reviews and Roadmaps.
- Dashboards: dashboards, TV mode and leaderboards.
- Reports: the report library, exports and emailed report schedules.
- Team meetings & scorecards: weekly meetings, scorecards and quarterly goals.
- Procurement: vendors, purchase orders, deliveries and stock.
Campaigns, Commissions, Business reviews and Roadmaps sit inside Sales & CRM. Turning Sales & CRM off turns them off too. To turn one of them on, turn Sales & CRM on first.
What always stays on
Some parts of Current never turn off, because everything else rests on them: companies and contacts, notes and activity, to-dos, time entry, My Day and Settings. Company and contact pages stay open even with Sales & CRM off, and notes, to-dos and contract revenue keep syncing with your PSA.
What turning a module off does
- It disappears for everyone in the workspace: its pages, its menu items and the panels it adds to other pages.
- Its background work stops. Syncs, scheduled emails, alerts and AI summaries for that module wait until it comes back.
- Your data stays saved. Nothing is deleted, and it is all there when you turn the module back on.
- Seats are not changed, and everyone keeps their role.
- Changes already waiting to go to your PSA stay queued and send when the module comes back.
Before anything changes, Current shows what is in use right now: open projects or opportunities, scheduled campaigns, report schedules and similar counts, then a list of what stops and which modules go off with it. A count Current can't read shows a dash. Press Turn off to confirm, or Cancel to leave it as it is. Commission statements that are not yet approved stay exactly as they are and never stop you turning Commissions off.
Turning a module back on
Flip the switch back to On. There is nothing to confirm. The card says it is catching up from the day it went off, and its syncs pick up from that point, so the time it was off is filled in.
- A campaign that was due to send while Campaigns was off is skipped, not sent late. The campaign is marked so you can see what happened and send it again if you want to.
- Sequences pick up where they paused, one step per person, so nobody gets a pile of emails at once.
- Reports that were due while Reports was off are skipped, never sent late. The next scheduled send goes out as normal.
When someone reaches a module that is off
Anyone who opens a page from a module that is off sees a short page saying it is turned off in this workspace and that their data is still saved. Their Ask to turn it on button emails every tenant admin and leaves them a notification. A person can ask once a week for each module; asking again sooner tells them their admins already have it. A tenant admin sees a link straight to Settings › Modules instead.
Who can change it
Only a tenant admin of the workspace can turn a module on or off, and every change is recorded in the audit log. Modules can't be changed during a support session, or while the workspace is read-only because its billing needs attention.
