Reporting a problem (and what happens when a screen breaks)

3 min read · Updated Aug 2, 2026

When a screen in Current hits an error, you no longer have to tell anyone. The error is reported the moment it happens, with the page you were on, your browser and device, the version of Current you are running, and the last few things you did before it broke. You will see a short line on the error screen saying the team has been notified — that is not a stock reassurance, it means a report has already gone out.

Add the one line that makes it fixable

Under the error message there is an optional box: what were you doing when this happened? A sentence there is worth more than everything else in the report combined. "I clicked Save on a new deal and the screen went blank" turns a stack of technical detail into something someone can reproduce in a minute. It is optional, and skipping it costs you nothing — the automatic report still goes out.

Something looks wrong but nothing broke

Not every problem throws an error. A total that reads oddly, a button that does nothing, a list that seems to be missing a row — those never trigger an error screen, so nothing gets reported automatically. For those, open your account menu at the top right and choose Report a problem.

  1. 1
    Open the menu
Click your name or avatar at the top right of any screen, then Report a problem.
  2. 2
    Describe what looks wrong
Plain language is perfect. Say what you expected and what you are seeing instead — for example, "the deal total on this page says $0 but the quote says $12,400."
  3. 3
    Send
The page you are on, your browser, and your recent steps go with it, so nobody has to ask you to reproduce it.

What is sent, and what never is

The trail of recent steps records labels only — that you clicked a button called New deal, not the deal you were writing. Reports are readable only by ITPartners+ super admins, and they are deleted automatically after 90 days.

If you cannot sign in

Errors on the sign-in and two-factor screens are reported too, which matters because that is the one problem you cannot tell us about from inside Current. Those reports carry no account details — there is no session yet, so there is nothing to attach — and any email address in the error text is removed before it is stored. If sign-in is failing for you, it is worth telling your admin as well, since a report tells us what broke but not that you are stuck right now.

Slow or frozen pages

If a page locks up for a few seconds, Current notices that on its own and reports it once, so pages that feel heavy get looked at without anyone having to describe the feeling. If a page is slow every single time you open it, use Report a problem anyway and say so — a pattern you can describe is more useful than the automatic signal on its own.

Tip
You do not need to send the same thing twice
If the same error hits several people, or the same person a few times, it is grouped into one report with a count. Sending it again does not get it looked at faster. If it is stopping you working right now, tell your admin so they can escalate it directly.
