Terminal mode: talk a ticket through with Current
Switch a ticket's remediation plan to Terminal and work the problem with Current in plain words or / commands. Every change waits for your press.

Terminal mode turns a ticket's remediation plan into a working session with Current. Ask in plain words, or type / for a command, and Current reads the tools you connected for this customer, explains what it finds and lines up the next step. Nothing changes until you press Run, exactly as on the card.
Open it
On a ticket's remediation plan, switch Plan view from Card to Terminal. Current remembers your choice for the next ticket. Switch back to Card at any time; both views show the same plan and the same steps.
What it can look at
Only this ticket's customer: the devices a connected tool reports for that customer and the people on the ticket. Depending on what you connected, that covers the person's Microsoft 365 account (whether they can sign in, when the password last changed, which sign-in methods they registered, their licenses and groups), their Duo status, a device's live state from your RMM, endpoint detections, network sites and devices, security events, document names from IT Glue or Passportal, and past tickets for the same device or person, including similar tickets and what fixed them. Current never shows a password, and it says plainly when something can't be read.
Commands
- /triage: read the ticket and say what is going on.
- /plan: show the plan for this ticket.
- /run: point to a plan step to run, for example /run 2. The step runs when you press Run.
- /check: read this ticket's device and security from the tools you connected.
- /why: explain why Current thinks this.
- /devices and /history: list the devices in scope, or past tickets for this customer, the requester and the device.
- /docs and /similar: find this customer's documents, or similar closed tickets and what fixed them.
- /reply and /handoff: draft a reply to the requester, or a note for the next person. Neither is sent for you.
- /help: show what the terminal can do.
Running something
When Current suggests a step, it shows the target, the tool and the risk first. Press Run to go ahead. A High step asks you to type the device or person's name and pick a reason, and both are recorded on the ticket. The result comes back from the tool itself, and Explain this output puts it in plain words.
When you are done
Press Close session. Current writes a short summary of what was found and what ran onto the ticket's Activity, and adds it to the linked ticket in your PSA as an internal note when the ticket is linked. The full session stays in Current for 90 days, and Earlier sessions on the ticket shows who ran each one and its summary.
AI can make mistakes. Always check the results before you rely on them. The same line sits under the terminal's message box. See Section 10 of our Terms.
Who can use it
Your service desk team: engineers, dispatchers, vCIOs, project managers, service managers and tenant admins. A tenant admin can turn terminal mode off for the workspace in Settings › Service desk › What Current may do. Where actions on machines and accounts are off, the terminal still reads and explains, and runs nothing.
